In general, finding a job can be challenging for someone with a disability. For example, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that in 2012, 17.8 percent of individuals with a disability were employed in the U.S. In contrast, the employment-population ratio for individuals without a disability was 63.9 percent. For someone with a disability, it can be challenging not only to find a job but also to keep it. In fact, the Federal Government reports that people with disabilities/targeted disabilities leave the their job at three times the rate of those without a disability. So even though you got the job, do you know how to keep it? Test your knowledge about employment retention.
